Together Counseling's Story

Cozy Living Room

I founded Together Counseling because I believe there’s real power in doing hard things alongside someone you trust. That “someone” might be a friend, family member, animal, partner, or a therapist.

Ever tried moving a ridiculously heavy piece of furniture by yourself? You’re determined to make it happen, so you twist yourself into all kinds of awkward positions just to inch it where it needs to go. And honestly? You’re kind of proud of yourself for pulling it off. Never mind the back pain the next day.

That’s how a lot of people approach life.

You can carry everything on your own with enough grit, independence, and sheer determination. You can muscle your way through anxiety, perfectionism, disordered eating, painful emotions, or self-destructive patterns.

But you don’t have to.

Together Counseling exists to help carry the load with you—because healing is hard enough already, and you were never meant to drag the heavy stuff alone.

Therapy with me tends to be collaborative, honest, practical, and occasionally humorous. I’m less interested in having you analyze yourself endlessly and more interested in helping you build a life that actually feels sustainable.

I help individuals struggling with overthinking, anxiety, depression, eating disorders, and perfectionism. Drawing on my experience as a DBT and RO DBT clinician, I specialize in working with individuals navigating eating disorders alongside higher acuity symptoms such as self-harm, suicidal ideation, substance use, impulsivity, and emotional dysregulation. My background in higher levels of care allows me to support clients with both the eating disorder itself and the more complex coping patterns that often show up alongside it.

My goal is to meet you exactly where you are while also helping you get out of your own way. Compassionately, of course. (But sometimes with a gentle push.)

I work well with:

  • High performers and perfectionists experiencing burnout

  • Individuals navigating disordered eating, chronic dieting, exercise guilt, or body image concerns

  • College students and young adults facing life transitions, identity shifts, or grief

  • Individuals struggling with emotional dysregulation or ineffective coping patterns

  • Individuals experiencing chronic self-harm or suicidal ideation*

*Needs will be assessed to ensure outpatient virtual therapy is an appropriate level of care. Referrals will be provided if a higher level of support is needed.
